Events › 2025 LEGO Building Contest: Plant a Possibility

"Block" off your days, weeks or weekends and get creating! On Saturday, May 31, 2025 the Canton Public Library is hosting a LEGO competition. 

We challenge you to create your dream garden or plant scene. Think about what kinds of plants you want in your garden, what other features (or creatures!) might be in your garden, or the story behind your garden. We know you'll exercise creativity and energy in your work.

Have FUN! Keep submissions family-friendly, as all age ranges will be on display. This is a community-wide contest where each age range will be judged, and a winner determined. 

ALL AGES ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE.

Age categories are K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th grade-adult. Registration for a spot begins on April 24.

Each person may enter only once. You may enter as an individual OR as part of a team but not both. Entering as a team is a way for families and friends to build together. Team entries will be judged in the age category of the oldest team member.

Please read all of the contest rules and guidelines below you must fill out an entry form for your creation.

Timeline of Events. All take place in Community Room:

Friday, May 30
o 4:00-6:00 PM: drop off entries 
Saturday, May 31
o 9:00-11:00 AM: drop off entries 
o 1:00-4:00 PM: public viewing and popular vote casting
o 4:30-5:30 PM: awards ceremony
o 5:30 PM: all entries must picked up by creators

One registration per entry, please. When possible, please register using the library card of the person entering the contest. If you do not have a library card, sign up for one HERE.
