Family Storytime Thursday AM (ages birth - 5)

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Canton Public Library, Michigan

Description

Family Storytime provides an opportunity for caregivers to actively engage with their children under age 5.

Together with a Youth Librarian, build early literacy skills in a welcoming environment through meaningful stories, songs, and play. Encourage a love of language and reading while practicing listening and cooperative tasks. We look forward to sharing this experience with you.

To minimize disruptions, patrons who arrive more than five minutes late will not be able to enter the program. Please be aware of our unattended children policy.

PLEASE NOTE: This Storytime will be followed by a 30-minute, optional, open ABC playdate. We will roll out our sensory cart for an open play session for the kiddos. We will also be joined by doctoral students from the Michigan School of Psychology who will hang out and share information about mental health and wellness as well as discuss any other concerns you may have.

Attendance at Library events constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print and/or electronic publicity for the Canton Public Library.

If you have further questions about storytime or other library programming, please call the library at 734-397-0999.
