Genealogy Connect: Beginning Irish Genealogy

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Canton Public Library, Michigan

Description

Join us, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM as Lyon Township Public Library Genealogist Cathy Cottone presents: "Beginning Irish Genealogy".

In order to find information on your Irish ancestors, you will need to do as much research as you can here in the United States first. So you need to follow their paper trail to help give clues as to where they were from in Ireland. Events, like births, baptisms, marriages, naturalizations and deaths are a part of that paper trail. This program will help show you different resources and examples of that paper trail and then we will talk about different Irish websites that will help you once you are researching over the pond.

This program will be both in-person and Zoom.

Attendance at Library events constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print and/or electronic publicity for the Canton Public Library.
