Mental Health Fiction for Middle Grades

Middle grade fiction is a genre of chapter book that generally appeals to readers in the upper elementary grades (4th through 6th grades) or ages 9-12. The books in this list have themes and characters that are centered on or portray an aspect of mental health. We all need to learn how to express our feelings and deal with those feelings in a healthy way. Mental health is important at every stage of our life.
